Mint Tin Magnets

A few years ago I received a large donation of empty Starbuck's mint tins and began to create mini collages inside of them.  I used paper from magazines and old books, drawings & words from my sketchbook, glitter glue, loose glitter, and sometimes pieces of plastic bread bag ties & metal. When complete, I poured a coat of diamond glaze (a clear non-toxic resin) to give them a smooth, shiny surface.  Magnets are fastened securely on the back.

Like all of my artwork, these little pieces are all one-of-a-kind.  While I love putting them together, the best part is when a customer finds their own unique connection to one they discover for themselves or a friend.  This always inspires and encourages me to keep creating, for I never know who my art will find its way to.
